ORDER A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH
The title of this book ‘A new heaven and a new earth’ symbolizes a profound process of inner transformation. One can go through this process individually resulting in: a new consciousness and improved ways of perception and observation. We find out that the new heaven and the new earth must not be sought outside but can be found within ourselves. The deeper meaning of the poems and paintings is held with an attempt at imaging this process.
PREFACE
In this wonderful collection of poems by dauhgter Viveka and paintings by her father Rob we experience a two-unity, a similiar philosophy of life. Though Viveka lives in Australia and Rob in the Netherlands, they are inwardly connected by the same attitude of life, in spite of the physical distance. That is why both poems and paintings are about really essential things in life.
In Viveka’s poems we notice a deep longing to break free from the ego-centred thinking and acting, to be free from seductions ans illusions of this world, and, in humility and resolution, follow the inner path that leads to universal Love that has no opposites, does not discriminate, and radiates to all and everything. The beginning of this path, says Viveka, lies in ‘the jewel in the heart.’
Rob’s paintings are in wonderful harmony with the poems. They reflect the artist’s state of the soul. Thus, by creating art as an expression of the new soul art becomes real Art again. As a consequence, he presents us with a very impressive individual perception of nature. His use of colours is magnificent The seem to be ‘not of this world’ and they inwardly touch us.
May you reconize something within yourself when reading and waching this two-unity expression of inner life and may you find spiritual inspiration as a consequence.
